Semester reflextion

In this semester I have learned so many new techniques. I learned about the principles of design and elements of design and how to incorporate them into my design to create a good piece of work. I also learned that OSHA stands for occupational and safety and health act. In graphics we learned all about the color wheel and when to use certain color schemes. We also learned about pixels and vectors and the difference between each. We were taught how to create pop art, collages and icons. We learned all about photo shop and illustrator, and have become familiar with most of the tools on each program.  Each lesson has helped you become more familiar with each tool and has helped a lot. It just takes a lot of practice and you start to get the hang of it. If I had a choice I wouldn't change anything for next semester. I really like this class and think it's a lot of fun.

Review week 17

Have you learned something?

The word serif came from ancient Rome. The world serif comes from the Dutch word schreef, meaning wrote. A serif is a flare at the end of a letter terminal  There are two main types of serifs: Adnate and Abrupt. The adnate serif is more organic and the abrupt serif or squarer and more rigid. The abrupt letters don't flow into the base letter form. In Japanese it is translated to uruko, which means fish scales, when translated into English it means "forms made with legs"
